It was a bright, sunny, and beautiful day on the training grounds of Konohagakure. This is where the young, aspiring ninja of Konohagakure's Ninja Academy would usually come to hone their skills for the battlefield. However, the training ground with three logs buried in the ground, evenly spaced apart in a line, with a memorial of all of Konohagakure's brave ninja that died during their duties in combat, was today, utterly empty, save for a single man. This man was Kyte Uchiha, one of Konohagakure's proud, loyal Jonin, who had gained respect here and there due to his service to the village. There he sat, sitting right against the middle log, resting his back against it as a slight breeze went through the trees. He had his eyes closed, and his ears open, in case anyone who was looking for him actually found him. He remained silent, enjoying the peace. He was almost always swamped with work, since he was a Jonin, and, as anyone could imagine, needed a break from all the papers and errands around the Village.
Normally, he would have no problem with fulfilling the Village's duties, but today, he decided he needed a little air; a break. He had brought his own lunch with him; a box of bento with chopsticks lay next to him. There was still about a fourth of it left. Slowly, Kyte opened his eyes and looked at the blue sky. The clouds were a bit wispy today. He would have preferred fluffy ones, but it wasn't like he could ask the sky for whatever clouds he wanted.
I like this feeling...
He sighed, and picked up the bento, picking up the chopsticks.
Likely they've sent someone to search for me...better eat before that happens.
He closed his eyes for a few seconds, and then opened them again, grinning, before raising his chopsticks to the sky.
Itadakimasu!, he said to no one in particular, before chowing down on his food.
He decided he wasn't going back until someone actually found him. Probably wasn't going to help his votes to be the Hokage; as they were searching for a new one, but Kyte wondered if it really mattered as he kept eating, shrugging it off.
